You don't need any previous industry experience. What matters most to us is that you have drive, commitment, and a willingness to learn.
About the Apprenticeship Program You start the program with eight training days at Skill. During the training, you receive a salary and the instruction alternates between theory and practical elements. The first training days are held in Karlskrona and training week two takes place in Linköping. No travel or accommodation costs apply.
After the training, your development continues on-site at Saab, where you will learn the role of composite technician with the support of experienced colleagues and mentors.
The apprenticeship program starts January 21, 2027.
What will you be working with? As a composite technician, you will work on manufacturing advanced components for the marine and defense industries. The work is practical, varied, and performed both independently and alongside colleagues.
You will learn, among other things, to:
Work with modern materials and manufacturing methods
Read drawings and work instructions
Build and assemble components
Perform quality controls
Handle tools and equipment safely
Work hours are daytime, Monday to Friday from 07:00–15:30. Shift work may become relevant later.
Who are we looking for? Perhaps you currently work in retail, hospitality, warehouse, transport, service, or another industry and are looking for your next career step. Perhaps you are at the beginning of your career. For us, your attitude and willingness to learn are more important than previous experience.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification clearance, certain citizenship requirements may apply.
The Recruitment Process To ensure a good match, we conduct a structured selection process. All steps are mandatory and help both you and us create the right conditions for a successful start.
The process consists of:
Application with screening questions
Capacity Test – Digital test (approximately 30 minutes)
Study Visit at Saab – Tuesday or Wednesday week 40 (approximately 1.5 hours)
Work Sample – Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday week 40 (approximately 1.5 hours)
Digital Interview and Reference Check – weeks 41–42
Interview with Saab – Week 43
Security Background Interview and Health Examination
