Materials Handler at Blekinge Air Wing Blekinge Air Wing F 17 is seeking a Materials Handler for the 24th Air Base Company, 241st R3 Platoon. Blekinge Air Wing is a constantly evolving unit in strong growth. The base unit consists of a small command, four companies, a training section, and two base detachments, totaling approximately 440 personnel. 24th Air Base Company is responsible for airfield operations including enabling aircraft takeoffs and landings. This includes rescue operations and field maintenance. In addition, the company performs field operations for tasks such as base protection and mobility, as well as ammunition disposal service. The company must be able to operate from multiple locations simultaneously, which means that 241st R3 Platoon may operate from different locations for limited periods. During regular duty, the platoon also trains conscript personnel in roles such as field operations soldier, field maintenance soldier, ammunition disposal soldier, and rescue soldier. Materials Handler is a civilian position in the platoon's materials group where you report directly to the platoon's Materials Master. Main Responsibilities As a Materials Handler, you support the Materials Master in managing and leading materials services within the platoon, as well as with materials and vehicle tracking in, among other things, the Swedish Armed Forces' management support systems. Following instructions from the Materials Master, you perform materials maintenance and maintenance of vehicles and facilities. You provide important support in testing and trial operations of new materials and with tasks within the company as needed. To maintain competence and momentum in the work, you must be able to assume the Materials Master's responsibilities when needed. Work responsibilities also include performing other airfield-related service following instructions from higher command, participation in activities ordered by the wing regarding readiness and exercises, which may be at other air bases than Ronneby. Qualifications Upper secondary school diploma with passing final grades. Good computer skills (Office suite, Outlook) Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English Category B driver's license, manual transmission. Meritorious Completed military service with passing results. Previous experience with logistics within the Swedish Armed Forces. Familiar with Swedish Armed Forces materials and logistics services. Experience with support systems PRIO, LIFT, and creating shopping carts and materials tracking.
