Blekinge Air Wing's primary mission is to develop combat units with fighter aircraft and personnel who are always ready for international operations. The Wing is now recruiting a civilian vehicle instructor specializing in training for light and heavy wheeled vehicles. F 17 is a wing that is continuously developing and experiencing strong growth. The base unit consists of a small command staff, three companies, a training department, and two base troops, totaling approximately 440 personnel. Main Responsibilities Your placement will be in the training department's motor section. As a vehicle instructor, you will participate in planning and conducting driver training for conscripts and employees within F 17. The work will also include monitoring vehicle operations during unit exercises. Qualifications High school diploma with passing final grades Driver's license at minimum class B and C Merits Qualified as military vehicle instructor for light and heavy wheeled vehicles Qualified as military traffic instructor Specialist instructor bandvagn Driver's licenses A, BE, CE, DE Military qualifications with focus on traffic and vehicle operations Additional training in personnel transport on flatbeds, winches, driving with lights off/shielded, towing, off-road driving, and roll-off containers Experience from technical service on military vehicle systems Instructor in YKB Personal Qualities As a person, you need to be pedagogical, clear, flexible, and knowledgeable in the field. You should be solution-oriented and have the ability to adapt to the conditions and situations that arise during training. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Service at other times may occur, as well as business travel and training at other locations. Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: Blekinge Air Wing trains three war units; two fighter squadrons with Jas 39 Gripen and a base unit. The fighter squadrons are an important part in protecting Swedish airspace, which is called incident readiness. The base unit is the largest war unit that contains everything needed to get the Gripen aircraft airborne. This includes aircraft maintenance, base protection, logistics, and airfield operations. The wing also trains the Air Force's only ranger unit, the air base rangers. Their tasks include gathering information through reconnaissance and protecting air defense personnel and vehicles.
