Pediatric and Youth Care in Region Gävleborg provides specialized care for children and young people throughout the county. We operate outpatient services in Hudiksvall, Bollnäs, and Gävle, as well as inpatient units in Hudiksvall and Gävle, with a focus on general pediatrics and neonatal care. We work closely with other specialized services to provide children and young people with coordinated and secure care. With the child's best interests in focus, we continuously develop our operations through investments in a good work environment, high accessibility, person-centered and child-appropriate care, and patient safety. Together, we work to meet today's and tomorrow's needs for pediatric care in the county. The physician group within pediatric and youth care in Hudiksvall consists of approximately 25 physicians. You will meet a stable and independent group with high expertise, strong cohesion, and a positive work climate. Together, we work to provide children and young people with secure and quality care. We are now seeking an assistant ward unit manager for the physician group who, together with us, wants to continue developing and driving the operations forward. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As assistant ward unit manager for the physician group, you work in close collaboration with the ward unit manager for the physician group and share responsibility for daily operations, staff, scheduling, operations development, and work environment. The role is operational and service-oriented, where you are close to staff and are a present, flexible, and solution-oriented leader. You report directly to the ward unit manager for the physician group. The position is a combined role comprising 50 percent management duties and 50 percent clinical work. In your assignment, you also have support from an HR partner and management secretary. As assistant ward unit manager, you will, among other things • be responsible for daily management and planning together with your management colleague • work with scheduling and training planning • participate in workplace environment work and conduct workplace environment rounds • handle deviations and drive quality and improvement work together with the ward unit manager. The role requires • education in healthcare • experience of working in healthcare • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We would like you to be a licensed physician. Previous experience as a manager and/or leader is also meritorious, as is experience working in pediatric care.
