We actively work to create a safe, inclusive, and educational environment for all students. As Assistant Principal, you will work within the delegation provided by the Principal. You lead, develop, and organize work within your area of responsibility in accordance with school legislation, regulations, and municipal governing documents. You have overall responsibility for operations within your area, with a focus on goals, personnel, quality, and pedagogical development. You drive systematic quality work and develop instruction with special emphasis on language and knowledge-building approaches. The role includes responsibility for the work environment according to delegation. You collaborate with guardians, the local community, authorities, and other school units, and work closely with the school's management team. You are part of the school's leadership team and the area's school leadership group, with the Principal as your direct supervisor. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with experience working as an elementary school teacher. If you have school leadership experience, that is a merit, as is having completed leadership training. It is a requirement that you have experience in school development. We would like to see documented experience in improving results in grades 4-6 at a school in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area. It is also a plus if you have experience leading language-development approaches.
