We are seeking an Assistant Principal who, alongside the Principal, will lead and develop our preschools in Ljusdals municipality. This position offers you an important role in creating conditions for a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment where each child has the opportunity to grow according to their individual potential. As an Assistant Principal, you work closely with the operations and have a special focus on pedagogical development, systematic quality work, work environment, and professional development. Together with the Principal and staff, you contribute to developing a sustainable organization where children's wellbeing is always at the center. Responsibilities As an Assistant Principal, you are part of the preschool's management team and work in close collaboration with the Principal. You hold operational and personnel responsibility for parts of the operations and support work teams in daily pedagogical work. You also bear significant responsibility for systematic work environment initiatives. You lead, monitor, and develop education according to the curriculum's objectives and the municipality's prioritized development areas. With children's learning and development in focus, you work to strengthen the quality of instruction and create good conditions for educators' professional development. Your responsibilities include: leading and developing pedagogical work in the preschool managing personnel, systematic work environment initiatives, and operational development supporting work teams in instruction, documentation, and follow-up leading and monitoring systematic quality work analyzing results and identifying development areas advocating for accessible and inclusive education for all children coordinating interventions for children with special needs together with special educators and other professionals cooperating with guardians, student health services, social services, and other external stakeholders contributing to the development of the preschool's digitalization and pedagogical learning environments Together with the Principal, you are responsible for ensuring that operations comply with the Education Act, curriculum, municipal objectives, and other governing documents. You participate in organization, resource planning, and strategic development matters. Qualifications We are looking for someone who holds a pedagogical higher education degree with a specialization in preschool or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. You have solid knowledge of the preschool's mission, governing documents, and current development issues in preschool and education. You have a genuine interest in pedagogical leadership and recognize the value of creating good conditions for staff learning and development. It is advantageous if you have: experience with leadership in preschool or other pedagogical operations personnel and budget responsibility experience with systematic quality work experience with change and development initiatives special education expertise or experience with inclusive approaches completed or ongoing state principal training knowledge of work environment, labor law, and rehabilitation processes experience leading multiple work teams or operations experience with digital operations and analysis tools experience participating in MBL processes and SAM work Additional Information We are seeking a confident and clear leader who builds trust through your engagement, attentiveness, and ability to establish strong relationships.
