Folktandvården Wisby
Folktandvården Gotland is part of Region Gotland's Health and Medical Care Administration and is tasked with providing dental care to the entire population, from children and young people to the elderly. The operations encompass both general and specialist dentistry and are characterized by high expertise, quality, and strong patient focus. We play an important role in preventive public health efforts and work to reduce inequality in oral health on Gotland.
The operations consist of four general dental clinics, one specialist clinic, and a dental laboratory, with clinics in Visby, Slite, Roma, and Hemse. The specialist clinic Oral and Maxillofacial Center and the dental laboratory are located at Visby Hospital. The clinics in Slite and Roma are temporarily closed.
We have approximately 100 employees in an operation under development where collaboration, learning, and development are in focus.
We are now seeking an assistant unit manager for our clinic in Visby, who wants to contribute to the continued development of the operation and combine clinical work with strategic leadership, with the goal of strengthening sustainable and quality-assured dental care on Gotland.
Your responsibilities
As assistant unit manager for the clinic in Visby, you support the unit manager in leading, planning, developing, and following up on daily operations with a focus on accessible, safe, and high-quality dental care. You contribute to a good patient experience and to adapting the operation to local needs and residents' oral health.
In the role, you participate in budget work, operational planning, and financial follow-up, and contribute to efficient and sustainable resource use. You are a support in day-to-day management and work for a good work environment through recruitment, onboarding, competence development, and coaching of staff.
You drive and participate in quality, patient safety, and improvement work and ensure that the operation complies with applicable laws, guidelines, and decisions. You also contribute to ensuring that the environmental management system is followed and that sustainability is integrated into working methods and decisions.
You continuously develop your leadership, work closely with the unit manager and clinic coordinator, and contribute to strong and unified leadership within Folktandvården.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with education and several years of work experience in dental care. It is a merit if you are a licensed dentist and have education in leadership and/or previous experience as a manager or leader.
As a leader, you are confident and stable with good self-awareness. You lead and motivate through clarity, involvement, and engagement, and set clear goals and follow up on results. You work in a structured and independent manner, with a holistic perspective where the operation's best interests guide your priorities and decisions. You collaborate attentively, communicate clearly, and contribute to constructive solutions.
