We are seeking an Assistant Department Manager for Ward 33! Your Workplace The Nephrology Department is responsible for specialized kidney care in Värmland. Ward 33 is a medical acute care unit with specialized expertise in nephrology. Here we work with the investigation of kidney diseases and preparations for hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). We care for both acutely ill patients and patients in a more stable phase, from age 18 and up. Hospital stays vary from a few days to several weeks, which creates a dynamic and educational work environment. Your Responsibilities The position is full-time and includes both duties as Assistant Department Manager and work as a registered nurse. The assignment is currently divided between 50 percent Assistant Department Manager and 50 percent registered nurse on the ward. The scope of the assignment may be adjusted based on the operations' conditions and needs. As Assistant Department Manager, you will support the Department Manager in personnel, work environment, operations, and budget work, and you will primarily have an operational role in daily management. This includes responsibility for an functioning schedule and daily leadership of personnel. Further monitoring of the operations' objectives. In this role, you are an important part of development and are expected to lead through change. We value developmental leadership that contributes to motivated and engaged employees. You will manage several IT systems for example personnel administration and scheduling. In your role as a registered nurse, you will work together with nursing assistants to be responsible for daily patient care. Your role includes ward rounds, medication management, and various medical-technical procedures. We are proud of our ward and the work we do together. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking a licensed registered nurse. It is advantageous if you as an applicant have experience as a registered nurse and/or leadership training as well as experience with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility from before, but this is not a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. You should have an interest and ability to lead and develop the operations with a forward-looking spirit, even during changes or unforeseen events.
