You are warmly welcome to Lasarettet i Enköping! Our Operations Medical Ward 1 is part of the Internal Medicine area at Lasarettet i Enköping. Our mission is to care for patients with diagnoses within the internal medicine field with a focus on cardiology. Most of our patients are admitted through the emergency department, and we work closely with Akademiska sjukhuset to maintain efficient patient flow. The ward also includes the gastroenterology clinic, a small unit responsible for endoscopic examinations, with both a medical clinic and a nursing clinic. The Internal Medicine area also consists of Medical Ward 2 with diagnoses in internal medicine with a focus on stroke, a medical clinic, rehabilitation unit, hospital-based home care, and intermediate care. Your Assignment We are now expanding with an additional assistant department head and are seeking someone who wants to be involved and develop operations that focus on both staff and patients. You will work 50% clinically in your profession and 50% in your management role. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the department head and other assistant department heads, as well as with other ward heads, staffing assistants, patient safety coordinators, quality coordinators, and physicians within the Internal Medicine area. As assistant head of the ward, you will be responsible for both nursing assistants and registered nurses. Together with the other assistant department head, you will drive development within the ward in collaboration with the department head, key personnel, and colleagues, in accordance with the organization's overall goals. In addition to personnel responsibility, you will be involved in patient flow, workplace environment issues, staffing matters, recruitment, reflection sessions, and ward meetings. You lead and encourage your team members and provide them with the conditions for participation and taking responsibility. You report directly to me as department head and will cover for me during absences. Your Qualifications We are seeking a licensed registered nurse with a genuine interest in leadership. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in a management position or have clear leadership qualities. You have several years of experience in clinical work as a registered nurse and are expected to be a support for staff, helping them prioritize and plan daily work. It is important that you are organized, communicative, and have the ability to make and implement well-grounded decisions. As a person, I am looking for someone who is unpretentious, collaborative, and responsible. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and previous experience. What We Offer We offer a fixed-term appointment as assistant department head and permanent employment in your base profession. The positions are 100% and are based during daytime, Monday-Friday, with working time equally divided between management duties and clinical patient care. Salary and start date by agreement.
