The Elderly and Disabled Persons Unit works with administrative authority, which includes informing, investigating, deciding, and following up on people's needs. Our work group consists of a unit manager, 15 assistance administrators, an administrator, and two senior assistance administrators who provide support in daily operations. We are now seeking two assistance administrators for the group—one focused on LSS and social psychiatry and one for the elderly group. However, you need to be open to working within both groups, as we may need to support each other.
The position is placed at the Care and Social Services Administration, which is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and has a clear mission—we exist for people. WORK TASKS
Your main task will be to investigate, assess, decide, and follow up on services in accordance with the Social Services Act and the Act on Support and Services for Certain Disabled Persons. You should be open to working with all our target groups, which includes handling both adult and child cases. The work should be characterized by good treatment, well-founded decisions, and high legal security. The investigation and follow-up work includes cooperation with the individual, relatives, guardians, other activities within the municipality, and external actors such as the Region.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
• a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• previous experience working with administrative authority in the field of elderly and/or LSS/social psychiatry
• good knowledge of applicable legislation in the field and the ability to apply it in your work
• good communication skills and an easy way of expressing yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
• a B-class driver's license
It is a merit if you have:
• experience working with the business system Cosmic Link, LifeCare, and with the IBIC method
