About Us
The benefits unit consists of 22 employees working with municipal administration under the Social Services Act (SoL), national transportation service (RFT), transportation assessment, and the Housing Adaptation Assistance Act. The unit includes benefits administrators, discharge planners, housing coordinators, housing adaptation handlers, and fee handlers. The target groups served by the benefits unit are elderly people over 65 years under SoL and younger people with disabilities under 65 years under SoL.
About the Position
As a benefits administrator, you will work with municipal administration by processing and documenting according to SoL, the National Transportation Service Act, and the Transportation Service Act. You will conduct home visits, office visits, receive applications, provide information, investigate, make decisions, and follow up on service needs.
The work tasks also include contacting users, relatives, guardians, service providers, hospitals, and others, as well as planning services for elderly and adult persons in need of various services at home, short-term housing, or special housing.
We use the Combine case management system for processing and documentation and the Phoniro system for reviewing home care hours.
Are You the One We're Looking For?
We are looking for someone with:
A degree in social work or studying in a Social Care Program, or who has or is studying a comparable academic education, such as a law degree program.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language and the ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish, as you have daily contact with clients and external authorities in various complex matters.
It is advantageous if you:
Have previously worked with municipal administration under SoL 4.1§ in elderly care and adults over 20 years and/or LSS law for people with disabilities.
Have experience handling cases according to the IBIC method.
Are familiar with case management systems such as Combine and Phoniro.
We are looking for someone who can take own initiatives and work independently. As a person, you are organized, can work independently, prioritize, and are flexible in your work. We also see that you have good collaboration skills. The work requires you to have a professional approach and always provide good client interaction. Since you as a benefits administrator have significant control over your daily schedule, we require that you are a responsible person.
A work test in the form of a case description will be part of the recruitment process.
