About the Position The position is located in the Department for Individual Support and Preventive Measures, within the unit First Line Reception, which consists of 11 case handlers and one unit manager. We meet individuals aged 18 and older who need support and care services under the Social Services Act. We collaborate with other units in the department because we are the resident's first contact with the authority, and cases are transferred to the respective unit after our initial assessment. Job Description Your main responsibilities will be to investigate, decide, and follow up on approved support measures for our residents who contact the First Line Reception. The work is based on a holistic perspective on the individual and their needs, conducted in collaboration with family members, healthcare providers, other authorities, and partners. At First Line Reception, we are the first contact for residents in need of support and care services. Your duties include answering the reception phone and informing family members, individuals, and collaboration partners about our services. Qualifications To succeed in this engaging and challenging position, you must have a social worker degree (socionom) or another relevant higher education qualification that the employer deems equivalent. We welcome experience from working in social services and government agencies, preferably in social psychiatry, care, and disability services. As a person, you have maturity and integrity, and you stand behind your assessments. You are quality-conscious and service-oriented, work carefully, and take responsibility for completing tasks correctly. Since the world is constantly changing, you also need to be flexible, proactive, and view challenges as interesting problems to solve. You have strong computer skills and command Swedish well, both spoken and written. Due to the municipality's large geographic area, you need to have a driver's license. There is a clear mandate within the department to develop case handling processes, working methods, collaboration, and innovation, as well as to implement digital solutions as part of this. About the Workplace The Department for Individual Support and Preventive Measures consists of approximately 75 employees, one department manager, one assistant department manager, and five unit managers. The department primarily works with authority functions under the Social Services Act (SoL) and Disability Services Act (LSS), and is also responsible for handling applications for travel and national transport services and implementing contact person and support family services. The department includes LSS case handlers, benefit case handlers, housing coordinators, contact secretaries, fee handlers, and family consultants.
