Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine is one of the specialties within laboratory medicine operations in Region Östergötland and is part of Diagnostics Center together with radiology clinics and clinical physiology. Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine (PNL) operates well-developed services at multiple primary care centers in Östergötland, as well as at sampling units at University Hospital and Vrinnevi Hospital. We also manage the anticoagulation clinic at University Hospital. Currently, approximately 110 employees work within PNL. Biomedical analysts, biologists, nursing assistants, and laboratory instructors are among the professional categories represented.

Job Description
Primary care laboratories are the important first step in our laboratory operations, and in primary care you will work patient-centered by performing venous and capillary blood draws on our patients and working with analyses in the areas of hematology, coagulation and chemistry. At primary care laboratories you work in close collaboration with other professions at the health center, although your organizational affiliation is Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine, which is responsible for your competence development and the laboratory's quality assurance and instrumentation. Placement for both positions is at one of our primary care centers in Linköping. It may occur that you work at other primary care laboratories in the region during absences. Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.
About You
You are a licensed biomedical analyst, medical biologist, or hold equivalent education that we consider comparable. You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is a merit if you have previous experience in primary care work, but we also place great importance on your personal qualities.
As a person you are social, positive and service-oriented. You are organized, quality-conscious and thorough, and have the ability to prioritize your work efficiently. Working at a primary care laboratory requires the ability to work independently as well as in a team. It is also important that you have good collaboration skills, are flexible and responsive.
