Do you want to make a difference for children and young people in Bjurholm Municipality?
Bjurholm Municipality is now seeking a library assistant to work on an ongoing development project to reach children and young people in the municipality. The project aims to increase the library's accessibility and create conditions for long-term collaboration with various parts of society. This includes both outreach work and carrying out reading promotion activities for children and young people in the library space. The project will reduce disparities, strengthen relationships, and develop new working methods for the library's future operations. The project is intended to run for three years and is financed annually. Together with regular library staff, you will be involved in implementing and developing the project in close collaboration with the municipality's partner organizations.
Work Tasks
Your primary work tasks will be
conduct outreach work in the municipality at various meeting places
build relationships with residents, associations, and organizations
offer library services, loans, and reading promotion activities both in and outside the library space
collaborate with library staff, a communicator, and external actors
contribute to reporting and documentation for the project's continuation
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who
has experience working with children and young people
has a strong ability to work independently and take own initiatives
has an interest in reading promotion, participation, and accessibility
expresses yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
has good digital skills
It is advantageous if you have:
experience with outreach work, adult education, or cultural projects
experience working with children and young people
local knowledge, or a willingness to quickly become familiar with the municipality's conditions.
