We are now seeking an engaged and organized coordinator for the municipality's four libraries with a focus on our services for children and youth.
The Libraries in Danderyd consist of four libraries: Danderyds Library in Danderyd Center (formerly Mörby Center), Djursholms Library, Enebyberg Library, and Stocksund Library.
We work together to create relevant, inclusive, and inspiring library services based on:
• The Culture and Leisure Committee's operational plan
• The Library Plan 2025–2030
• The Convention on the Rights of the Child
• Danderyd Municipality's Children and Youth Strategy
Our library plan has three priority areas: Promoting reading and cultural experiences, knowledge and information, and accessible meeting places with a focus on participation, accessibility, and safety.

WORK TASKS
As a library employee in Danderyd Municipality, you work to ensure that the library is accessible and welcoming to everyone you meet. We offer a broad range of services for children, youth, and adults. Your work tasks include staffing the information desk, providing reading guidance, working in digital environments, and handling book displays and other media management. You work closely with your colleagues and together you develop library services.
As an employee, you have different focus areas, such as program activities, children and youth, or book acquisitions. The focus area for this position involves having a special focus on and a coordinating role for services for children and youth.
We want to strengthen our work with this target group and we are looking for you with the right experience and good ideas to further develop the services. You will join an engaged and competent work team characterized by work enjoyment, where you work broadly with multiple age groups rather than with a specific age group.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
• A degree in Library and Information Science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Several years of documented experience working with children and/or youth, preferably in a library setting
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Experience conducting library tours, book talks, and programs for youth and children
It is advantageous if you have good knowledge of children's and young adult literature.
We are looking for someone who is confident and stable and enjoys a relationship-building role. You also need to be organized and able to maintain a good overview of the operations. You have great dedication to your work and enjoy collaborating. You also need to be able to work independently, take responsibility, and contribute new ideas to the services. We place great emphasis on personal competencies.
