About Us Region Blekinge is part of the national system for knowledge-based governance aimed at contributing to good health that is knowledge-based, safe, and individually tailored, equitable, accessible, and efficient. The Information Technology base unit's mission includes managing and developing the region's information systems and technical infrastructure based on overarching strategies, as well as delivering and developing business support and services. We are now seeking a BI Developer for the IT System Technology department, which is part of the Information Technology base unit. The base unit also includes the IT System Management Healthcare, IT Service, IT Infrastructure, IT Development, and Coordination departments. The IT System Technology department has 26 employees. Region Blekinge's IT environment is modern and covers the entire region with collaborations within Blekinge and with other regions. About the Job As a BI Developer at Region Blekinge, you will be part of developing tomorrow's data-driven operations. You will work on developing, maintaining, and further developing solutions for data warehouses, ETL processes, analytics, and reporting. Through close collaboration with the business, you will translate needs into technical solutions that create value through reliable information and better decision support. You will be part of a skilled team responsible for the region's BI platform and working with modern solutions within areas such as Power BI, data warehouse development, and information modeling. The role offers varied tasks and excellent opportunities to develop within areas such as data modeling, tabular models, advanced analytics, and future technologies such as AI and Machine Learning. About You We are looking for someone with experience in BI development who wants to be part of building tomorrow's data solutions in a mission-critical operation. Requirements for the Role: Post-secondary education in, for example, data/systems science or equivalent work experience Experience developing BI solutions Experience with ETL development Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or equivalent Knowledge of SQL and data warehouse development Swedish and English fluency in speech and writing Meritorious Qualifications: Experience with data modeling according to Kimball methodology Experience maintaining data warehouse solutions Competence in Microsoft's BI software suite Knowledge of information modeling Experience working with tabular models Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning Strong Excel skills Our group language is Swedish and you should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. There may be contacts with suppliers from abroad, so you should also have good English language skills. The position is located in Karlskrona, but travel may occur within the county, so you should have a B driver's license. Since we are a department responsible for operating Region Blekinge's IT infrastructure, on-call services may be included in the position. For your information, Region Blekinge has war placement procedures for all permanent employees.
