On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking an Inspection Leader for a train delivery project with a client in Stockholm. The assignment is full-time and is expected to start 2026-12-01 and run through 2027-12-31, with the possibility of extension.
About the Assignment
As an Inspection Leader, you will be an important part of a larger delivery project for new regional trains. You will monitor the manufacturing, testing, and delivery of vehicles and ensure that inspections are conducted according to the project's quality requirements and established inspection and test plans.
The work includes monitoring manufacturing at various control and observation points for both individual cars and complete train sets. As vehicles are completed and delivered to Sweden, the role will also include test runs, inspections, and examinations before handover and commercial operation.
For each inspection, you are responsible for ensuring that correct inspection protocols are prepared. Major or relevant deviations must be reported to the project's quality manager. You will also follow up on previous inspections and verify that identified deviations have been rectified according to protocol and agreements.
The role involves close collaboration with the project's quality manager, other sub-projects, and the client's own staff.
A significant part of the assignment involves travel between Sweden and Spain, where the trains are manufactured. On average, travel may occur around three weeks per month, with varying distribution between Sweden and Spain throughout the project. Travel within Sweden also occurs in connection with, for example, test runs, inspections, and vehicle handovers.
It is therefore important that you have great flexibility and the ability to travel frequently, sometimes with only 1–2 weeks' notice and during certain periods for several weeks in succession. Normally, return to home occurs over weekends.
The scope of the assignment may vary based on the project's production and delivery plan, which means that 100 percent utilization cannot be guaranteed throughout the contract period.
Other Details: Start: 2026-12-01 End: 2027-12-31 Scope: Up to 100%, varying according to project needs Placement: Stockholm, as well as recurring travel within Sweden and to Spain. On average approximately three weeks per month. Important to have high flexibility as travel can be booked with short notice.
