The Traffic Operations Division at the Swedish Transport Administration is responsible for monitoring and managing traffic on roads and railways. As a staffing planner, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the right competence is in the right place at the right time - so that Sweden keeps moving. Duties Would you like to become our new colleague? Our department creates the conditions for operational activities within the Traffic Operations Division, the Swedish Transport Administration's largest division. We support managers in planning and staffing operational personnel and help ensure that operations can run efficiently, 24/7, 365 days a year. During the year, we have implemented several development initiatives focused on strengthened teamwork and more uniform working methods to increase our efficiency. This development journey continues - and we hope you want to join us. As a staffing planner, you work both strategically and operatively. You plan long-term based on factors such as vacation periods, training, and periodic health examinations, while handling short-term changes such as sick leave and other staffing challenges. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that work scheduling complies with applicable laws, collective agreements, and local agreements. You work with issues related to, for example, daily rest periods, weekly rest periods, and time off. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with both managers and employees. We are a national department that plans and staffs operations from north to south. Together, we ensure that the right competence is in the right place at the right time. To succeed in this role, you need experience in staffing planning and basic knowledge of employment law and contractual matters. Qualifications Who are you? Since you will be working in a team, you need to be social and communicative combined with excellent collaboration skills. The work is conducted in close collaboration with managers and colleagues. Because the role involves many internal contact points, you need to be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. You are organized and have a strong ability to plan and prioritize. When you prioritize and make decisions, you weigh the organization's needs against applicable laws and agreements, while considering robustness, economy, and employee perspective. Within the team, tasks rotate, which requires your flexibility and ability to prioritize. The work varies in pace and reprioritization may be necessary, alternating between long-term planning and quickly handling urgent situations that arise in operations. We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary school education have at least 1 year of current and relevant work experience in staffing planning for an operation that runs 24/7 (day, evening, night shifts) and year-round (including weekends and major holidays such as Easter, Midsummer, Christmas, and New Year) have current and relevant experience working with work time regulations, collective agreements, and other agreements related to daily and weekly rest periods have current and relevant experience working with personnel administration systems have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you have completed vocational higher education, continuing education, or a university degree in economics, production management, or HR have current and relevant experience working with staffing planning in the public sector Other Information Web-based tests may be used as part of the selection process. The position is full-time, daytime 8-16:30 with flexible hours, with the possibility of remote work up to 2 days/week when operations allow. The placement location for the position is Gävle.
