About the Workplace Our facility is beautifully situated in northwestern Scania. We welcome girls aged 15-21 who are placed according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions Regarding Care of Young People (LVU). At Åsbo, we offer individual care (one-on-one) for girls who need a smaller setting and more comprehensive support. In collaboration with social services, we have the ability to tailor the approach around the specific young person. Our treatment work is based on evidence-based methods where Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) form a central part. Your Role As a treatment educator, you will work individually with the young person to provide support and care in daily life. The goal is to establish a secure relationship where the young person wants to and dares to receive the support offered. You will be part of a team that works together on the young person's care, and our vision is that despite working alone, you should not feel isolated. Your duties include practical tasks such as assistance with activities of daily living, cooking, cleaning, medication management, community contacts, and transportation. An important aspect is to motivate the young person to develop their unique strengths/qualities and build competence. You also play a role in promoting an active and meaningful leisure time, which requires energy and the ability to inspire. The work includes documentation. Qualifications To qualify for this position with us, you must have: At least two years of post-secondary education in areas such as social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. Given the target group and their needs, we welcome only female applicants for this position. Experience with the target group is a merit, as is knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and knowledge of Neuropsychiatric Conditions (NPF). We expect you to be warm and empathetic, a team player with a positive view of people's capacity for change. Furthermore, you should be patient, confident in yourself, and have the ability to handle conflicts constructively and remain calm in stressful situations. Computer skills and experience with documentation are important, which means you should have strong verbal and written communication skills. Other Information Start date by agreement. Irregular working hours in the form of 24-hour shifts distributed across weekdays and weekends. We require an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record register before employment. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required. Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis, so do not delay in submitting your application materials.
