About the job Do you want to be part of something bigger and make a difference in young people's lives? We are now seeking a reliable and responsible treatment assistant for awake night shifts at Bia Stödboende. Bia Stödboende serves individuals aged 16-21 who need housing with adult support during a period in their lives. Supported housing is a model where a person lives in their own apartment and mostly has contact with staff during scheduled meetings. We accept placements from throughout Gothenburg City. Our mission is to provide young people with the right support so they become secure and independent adults when they leave us. We have approximately 40 apartments, half of which are located in a building in Gamlestaden, where the personnel office is also located, from which all staff operate. Our services meet people during an important time in their lives, a time of identity formation and independence training. Those who come to us need support in various life areas: relationships, information about society, mental/physical health, support in school and/or employment. Some of the young people have previously had problems with substance abuse or crime, and may at times need support in remaining drug-free or avoiding a return to a criminal lifestyle. What happens during a work shift can vary, and you will sometimes encounter unforeseen situations that require you to make professional assessments on the spot. You have a colleague working the sleeping on-call shift whom you can wake for help and support in more difficult situations, and you always have access to management. Your work includes certain practical tasks such as documentation in the digital system Treserva, some cleaning, and preparations for the next day. We work based on MI (Motivational Interviewing), LAB (Low Arousal Approach), and TMO (Trauma-Informed Care). You work on a two-to-five schedule where you work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one week and Thursday and Friday the next week. In addition to meaningful work, we offer you a strong and engaged team, a facility manager, and a supervisor who support your development. You will contribute to our regular workplace meetings, and we ensure you receive relevant professional development to continue growing in your role. About you We are looking for someone with at least a 2-year vocational higher education in treatment assistance/socialpedagogy, alternatively a degree in social work or another behavioral science higher education degree that the employer finds equivalent. You need to have at least two years of experience in social work. A driver's license (Category B) is a requirement for the position. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as good as possible, so that young people get the support they need and the operation functions well. You are pleasant and helpful to others even in stressful situations. You show respect for everyone you meet at work and are welcoming and positive. You remain calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You take responsibility for your work tasks and the team's work tasks. You think about those we serve and their best interests. You do your best to complete all work tasks properly and follow up on how it went. According to the Act (2007:171) on criminal record checks for staff at certain residential facilities that receive children, a certificate of conduct from the police is required for work at residential care facilities and must be presented before employment. You can order this from the Police website. We consider it a merit if you have previously worked with children and young people. Training in MI, LAB, and/or TMO is a merit. Other information In this recruitment process, we will not ask for a cover letter. Instead, during the application process, you will answer a number of questions relevant to the position. Your answers will be part of our selection. To comply with GDPR and enable good communication with our applicants, we ask you to submit your application digitally and not via email or letter. Do you have protected personal data? If so, do not apply via the system; instead, contact the recruiting manager to handle your application. Gothenburg City is one of Sweden's largest employers.
