The Assignment Do you want to work closely with children, young people, and families and help create conditions for a safe and sustainable homecoming after placement? In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference—in the family's everyday life. As a treatment specialist, you work with intensive and flexible interventions on behalf of social workers. Much of the work takes place in families' homes, where you work together with the child or young person, parents, and their network on situations that are important for everyday life to function. This might include relationships, interaction, boundaries, routines, and age-appropriate guidance. The work is team- and network-based, and you collaborate closely with social workers, foster families, residential care facilities, and other important stakeholders around the child. You also have a coordinating role and can provide practical support and guidance to create a functioning whole around the family. To be close to the family when the need is greatest, you also work evenings and weekends. This gives you the opportunity to work with change in situations where challenges actually arise—and work directly with the family to implement new strategies in their daily life. You'll receive an independent, varied, and developmental assignment where you combine proven experience and evidence-based methods with flexibility, creativity, and close collaboration with others. Challenges and Opportunities Working with intensive interventions means meeting children, young people, and families in complex and sometimes rapidly changing situations. This requires flexibility, security, and the ability to adapt your work to the family's needs. At the same time, the closeness to the family's everyday life creates great opportunities for change. You'll work concretely where challenges arise and find strategies that work in practice together with the family. What you need to bring Requirements Sociology degree or other university education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience with treatment work with young people and families. Experience with harmful substance use and addiction, comorbidity, and mental health issues. Merits Education and experience with A-CRA, ÅP, FFT, or other relevant treatment methods Step 1 training.
