Funeral Assistant for Muslim Burials and Transfers

We are seeking a responsible and respectful funeral assistant who wants to work with Muslim burials and transfers of deceased individuals. The work involves meeting families in a sensitive and difficult life situation. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is calm, considerate, reliable, and has a professional demeanor. The tasks include, among others: Transport and collection of deceased individuals Preparation for burials Participation in burial ceremonies Carrying and handling of caskets Contact with families, mosques, and other relevant parties Practical tasks before, during, and after the burial Maintenance and basic care of vehicles and equipment Since the position primarily concerns Muslim burials, you need to have good knowledge of Muslim burial traditions and religious customs. You should be able to meet families with understanding and follow their religious and cultural wishes. Personal experience with Muslim traditions is a merit. We are looking for someone who: Has a B-category driving license and is a safe driver Speaks Swedish well enough for the work Is respectful, discreet, and takes responsibility Has good cooperation skills and a professional demeanor Is capable of physical work and heavy lifting Can work irregular hours and sometimes with short notice Has good understanding of Muslim burial traditions Knowledge of Arabic, Somali, Turkish, Persian, or other relevant languages is a merit. Previous experience from funeral services, care, healthcare, or transport is also a merit, but not required. We offer introduction and guidance. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds. What matters is that you have the competence and understanding required to perform Muslim burials in a respectful and correct manner. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
