Svenska kyrkan i Linköpings Domkyrkopastorat operates three preschools: Himlaliv in Johannelunds parish, Pärlan in Skäggetorps parish, and Ängeln in Tannefors parish. Our pedagogy is based on the belief that all people are competent, intelligent, and have a drive to explore the world. We trust in educators who are actively curious about children and their thoughts.
We want to meet and work with children's curiosity and their desire to play and learn. Based on the values that guide Svenska kyrkan's work, we actively promote children's right to spiritual development in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 27: "States Parties recognize the right of every child to a standard of living adequate for the child's physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development."
About the Position
We are now seeking two childcare workers for a longer-term temporary position at preschool Pärlan in Skäggetorp and preschool Ängeln in Tannefors. In addition to following the national preschool curriculum, our preschools offer value-based activities with confessional elements. Pärlan has 25 children and 5 educators. Ängeln has 25 children and 6 educators, including one resource staff member. There is close collaboration between the preschools and their respective parishes, which enriches our work.
As a childcare worker, you contribute to ensuring that instruction follows the preschool curriculum and other governing documents. Together with your team, you participate in planning, instruction, documentation, and evaluation of the program's content, and you create an education adapted to both individual children's needs and the group's needs.
Pedagogical work is organized and structured so that all children have influence and the opportunity to learn through play based on their individual abilities. As a childcare worker, you promote each child's development and learning based on their interests, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both through planned activities and spontaneous moments.
For us, good relationships between colleagues, children, and guardians are important. Relationships that contribute to safety, participation, and influence. We continuously develop our work and value dialogue and reflection to constantly move our efforts forward.
