About the Role
Hello! Could you be our new colleague at Fjälldalens förskola?
Fjälldalens förskola is a preschool with six departments where nature and the mountains are close by, and as a pedagogue you'll have a unique opportunity to be part of shaping the preschool of the future.
The preschool opened in January 2025, and we're now looking for you to join our wonderful team of colleagues and build long-term work at the preschool. At the preschool, we meet our children in their first educational experiences and their first steps in lifelong learning—and as a pedagogue, you play an important role.
Responsibilities
The preschool curriculum (Lpfö18) describes the preschool's values and mission and contains goals and guidelines for the work. Children at the preschool should receive secure education where care, development, and learning form a whole. Work as a child care worker involves collaborating with your team to create a safe and developmental education for the children.
The work is challenging, exciting, and creative, and takes place in close cooperation with your team and colleagues at the preschool. As a child care worker, you're part of a team and participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating the education offered to children. You work with the team to provide children with fun and educational experiences.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is trained as a child care worker, or someone studying to become one, or with another education that the employer deems equivalent.
It's important that you:
are familiar with our governing document, the Preschool Curriculum (Lpfö18),
are a confident and clear leader, take initiative easily, are positive, and believe in children's different competencies,
value trusting relationships with children and guardians and have good collaboration skills,
use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work,
use visual supports and TAKK (sign as alternative and supplementary communication),
are interested in developing the preschool.
Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are essential for the position. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
Under the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative authority for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a merit in applications for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
The position requires a certificate from the Police's suspicion and conviction register, and you must present identification.

Temporary position, full-time: 2026-10-05 - 2027-07-02
Salary
Monthly salary – we apply individual salary setting. Please state your salary expectations in your application.
