Within the pediatric medical department, we treat children and adolescents ages 0-18. At the Pediatric Cancer Center, we care for children with oncological and hematological diseases from throughout southern Sweden.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now recruiting nurses for the Pediatric Cancer Center in Lund.
As a nurse with us, you work closely with children and their parents. A large part of the work involves making children feel secure and building trust. The department places great emphasis on teamwork. The Pediatric Cancer Center is a complex operation where you provide patient-centered care, work with medical technology, medication administration, treatments with cytostatics, immunotherapy, and stem cell transplantations. Possible treatments are constantly evolving. The department collaborates with other pediatric oncology centers both nationally and internationally. We also organize our own training sessions on various topics within pediatric oncology.
The department has an ethics group, supervision, and debriefing if something occurs. As a new staff member, you always have support from experienced nurses and there is always someone to ask. You will receive their help in growing into the role. As a newly educated nurse with us, we offer a comprehensive one-year training program in pediatric care including group nursing supervision. The training program provides in-depth knowledge of both healthy and sick children as well as specialization within the broad field of pediatric medicine. The program includes ten full days and starts in September or January.

QUALIFICATIONS
We want you to be a licensed nurse with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at a minimum of C1 level according to the Council of Europe's scale is required. We also prefer that you have further education or experience in pediatric care, oncology, or intensive care.
You who apply want to contribute knowledge and joy and have a burning passion for caring for seriously ill children. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and thorough. In addition, you have good collaboration skills and can work independently when required. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
