Become the link between the patient and the research frontier! Help create the future of obstetric care in the Clinical Research Group for Preterm Birth and Preeclampsia. Do you want to combine clinical work with research and help develop the future of obstetric and family care? Then this position might be for you! Position divided by agreement. We are seeking a licensed midwife for our operations at Östra Hospital in Göteborg. Here you will meet a work team where midwives, doctors, nursing assistants, and nurses work closely together. As a midwife, you play a central role in the care of the laboring person, the family, and the newborn. The work is independent, varied, and stimulating – with teamwork, patient safety, and person-centered care in focus. In this research-focused role, you will have the opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with research, development, and knowledge exchange. You will be an important part of translating new knowledge into better care for pregnant people, those in labor, and newly formed families. Our research focuses on preterm birth and preeclampsia. In this role, you will be especially responsible for a study on predicting preterm birth. Current tests such as cervical length measurement are not sufficiently effective at identifying those who will deliver prematurely. This study will investigate the value of adding another type of measurement that measures cervical firmness. In addition to this study, you will also be part of our preeclampsia research group, which conducts clinical studies on preeclampsia including new treatments. Our team consists of doctors, midwives, preclinical researchers, and nursing assistants. We are looking for you who: are a licensed midwife with an interest in obstetrics and obstetric care are curious and engaged in research, development, and learning enjoy working both independently and as part of a team want to contribute to safe, secure, and respectful care see possibilities and want to help shape the future of obstetric care. We place great importance on personal suitability. If you have GCP training, that is a merit, as is previous experience working with studies and/or previous experience leading projects.
