We are now looking for a dedicated child protection social worker who wants to help create safety, hope, and future prospects for children living with protection needs. This means you will have great opportunities to work together with the operations manager and colleagues to develop the role's content, working methods, and structure. We are therefore looking for someone who thrives with taking initiative, creating structure, and contributing to development. As a child protection social worker, you have a special responsibility for ensuring that children's rights, needs, and participation are recognized throughout their placement. You work closely with the children, their guardians, the placing social services, and other actors around the family. The role is broad and varied. The number of placed children changes over time, and the position therefore involves not only child conversations and child-focused interventions. You will also participate in the organization's other work and, if needed, serve as a contact person for placed adults and families. You therefore need to be willing to work with both the child's individual needs and the adult's and family's combined support needs. Your responsibilities The role includes, among other things: Being the organization's child protection focal point and contributing to ensuring that the child perspective permeates the entire organization. Conducting individual support and child conversations. Planning, implementing, and following up on interventions and activities based on children's individual needs. Being attentive to the child's need for safety, support, protection, and participation during placement. Supporting guardians on matters relating to the child's needs, safety, and development. Serving as a contact person for placed adults and families. Planning, implementing, and following up on individual support measures together with placed persons. Drafting and following up on implementation plans and being responsible for ongoing social documentation. Maintaining regular contact and collaboration with the placing social services. Collaborating with schools, preschools, child and adolescent psychiatry services, healthcare, police, and other relevant public sector actors. Contributing to risk and safety work based on the child's as well as the adult's and family's situation. Being a support to colleagues on matters relating to children, children's rights, and the child perspective. Participating in other tasks that occur in daily operations. Contributing to the organization's quality and development work. Tasks are adapted to the current needs of the organization and the placed persons. To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate the variation between child-focused work, contact person duties, practical and psychosocial support, documentation, and collaboration. We are looking for someone who Holds a degree in social work. Has experience in social work with children, adolescents, or families. Has knowledge of BBIC and can implement a clear child perspective in practical social work. Has an excellent ability to build trusting relationships with both children and adults. Can meet people with different cultural backgrounds in a respectful, attentive, and professional manner. Is confident, independent, flexible, and responsible. Thrives in a new role where you can help develop routines, working methods, and structure. Has good ability to document and express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Can communicate in English. Holds a class B driver's license. It is meritorious if you have experience with Protected housing. Intimate partner violence. Honor-related violence and oppression. Social services' regulatory authority. Family treatment. Residential care facilities or supported housing. Crisis and trauma work. Child and adolescent psychiatry. NPF and mental health issues in children. Risk and safety work. Collaboration with police, social services, and other public sector actors. Language skills beyond Swedish and English are meritorious. Since we meet children and families from many different backgrounds, we also value good intercultural understanding and the ability to adapt communication based on people's different experiences and circumstances.
