Are you in upper secondary school and enjoy working with children? As a children and activity leader, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a safe, fun, and meaningful leisure time for children ages 7-12. You'll become an important role model for the children and inspire them to be active, spend time with others, and try new activities. What can we offer you? You'll be part of a work team consisting of five children and activity leaders, one supervisor, and one process leader. Together, we plan, implement, and follow up on the program's activities. The work involves close collaboration and shared responsibility for creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children. The program runs twice a week and offers children the opportunity to participate in varied activities, such as different sports, games, and other forms of movement. An important focus is creating an inclusive program where all children feel welcome, included, and are given the opportunity to discover new interests. Job responsibilities: · Plan and implement fun and varied activities for children ages 7–12. - Lead games, sports, and other activities that encourage movement and community. - Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where all children can participate. - Listen to children's ideas and needs and encourage them to try new things. - Collaborate with colleagues, associations, and other organizations to develop the activities. The position is within Youth Activities under the Culture and Recreation Department. The workplace is the Youth House. Depending on the program's activities and assignments, the work may also take place at other locations in the municipality. What are we looking for in you? To thrive and perform well in this role, we'd like to see that you: - Are open to learning new things and developing in the role. - Are positive, responsible, and good at collaboration. - Enjoy working with children, playing, and being physically active. - Take your own initiative and come up with creative ideas. - Are calm, attentive, and respectful in interactions with children. You don't need to be an expert in sports or have experience with all types of activities. What's most important is that you have an interest in working with children and a desire to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and meaningful leisure time. We'd like the work team to consist of people with different experiences, interests, and skills. By working together, you'll create a program that can meet children's diverse needs and interests. Information The position as children and activity leader is part of Falköping Municipality's work to create a safe, active, and meaningful leisure time for children and young people. Through this assignment, young people have the opportunity to take responsibility, develop as leaders, and be positive role models for younger children in their local area. The assignment involves young people themselves having the opportunity to plan and implement activities for children ages 7–12. As a children and activity leader, you meet children during their leisure time, lead activities, and contribute to creating community, participation, and movement. The role involves working together with other young people while also taking responsibility for carrying out activities in a safe and inclusive manner. The age requirement of 16–20 years is set based on the purpose and implementation of the assignment. The role involves meeting and leading younger children, taking responsibility for activities, and being a trusted role model. This age range is considered appropriate to ensure the maturity, independence, and responsibility level that the assignment requires, while allowing children to meet young leaders who can be close role models and inspire activity and community. Selection will be made in accordance with the provisions on permitted exceptions to the non-discrimination requirement in the Discrimination Act (2008:567), Chapter 2, Section 2, where differential treatment is permitted if it has a legitimate purpose and the means are appropriate and necessary. Working hours: Work hours will be adapted to your school schedule. You're expected to be able to work 2–4 hours per week. During school breaks, working hours may increase, and work on weekends may also occur. Employment type: Hourly employment.
