Ogres novada bāriņtiesa (Registration No. 40900037354) invites applications from candidates for the vacant position of Ogres novada bāriņtiesa member. Position for a fixed term. Requirements for candidates: A person can be a guardian court member if they: • are a citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia; • have reached 30 years of age; • have obtained at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and level 5 professional qualification or another qualification in the Latvian education classification corresponding to level 6 of the European Qualification Framework in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work or legal sciences, education management or public administration, and have at least three years of work experience in the relevant field of their acquired education or in performing the duties of guardian court chairman, guardian court chairman's deputy or guardian court member; • are fluent in the state language at the highest level; • have no obstacles specified in Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law to hold the position of guardian court member; • have an impeccable reputation. Main job responsibilities: • prepare and direct cases for hearing at Guardian Court sessions; • prepare draft decisions; • participate in Guardian Court sessions, ensuring collegial decision-making and taking actions to ensure decision implementation; • verify living conditions at persons' places of residence and document the clarified circumstances; • ascertain the child's opinion; • prepare document drafts in accordance with regulatory requirements; • receive visitors and provide consultations; • represent the Guardian Court in courts, state and municipal institutions; • perform other duties in accordance with regulatory requirements.
