Valmieras novada pašvaldība (hereafter – Municipality) invites you to work as a member of the Valmieras novada Guardians Board (hereafter – Board) in the position of Guardian Board Member (for an indefinite period).
If you have the desire to:
• protect the rights and legal interests of children and persons under guardianship by reviewing submissions, complaints, and conducting fact-checks;
• take necessary actions to ensure proper upbringing and care of the child in a family environment;
• supervise cases in accordance with applicable legal regulations;
• prepare cases for consideration at Board meetings;
• represent children and persons with limited legal capacity in court and other institutions on matters within the Board's competence;
• receive visitors and provide consultations on matters within the Board's competence;
• cooperate with other Guardians Boards, the Child Protection Center, long-term social care and social rehabilitation institutions, healthcare and education establishments, social services, police authorities, the State Probation Service, and court bailiffs to ensure protection of the rights and interests of children and persons under guardianship;
• maintain and work with databases, systems, and registers necessary for the Board's operations;
• perform other duties specified in the Guardians Board Law;
and if you have:
• compliance with the criteria specified in Section 10, Part 2 of the Guardians Board Law, and none of the restrictions specified in Section 11 of the Guardians Board Law apply to you;
• work experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage;
• knowledge and experience in protecting the interests and rights of children and persons under guardianship;
• understanding of the organization and processes of the Board's work;
• excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications;
• Category B driver's license;
• competencies: good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under high-intensity conditions; ability to work with large volumes of information; ability to independently organize your work and work in a team; ability to make independent decisions; analytical skills; high sense of responsibility; precision; initiative and ability to seek and propose new solutions;
