Our Operations The Psychiatry Department at Akademiska Hospital is organized into four subspecialized sections, including the Substance Abuse and Neuropsychiatry section. The Northern Region Psychiatric Clinics have a general psychiatric mandate for affective disorders, psychosis, and neuropsychiatric conditions. We have facilities in Tierp, Älvkarleby, Gimo, and Tärnsjö. At the clinics, we work in multiprofessional teams consisting of physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, and care assistants. Research and education are integrated parts of our operations, as is an evidence-based approach. Continuous development of operations is a given for us, with access to our own research and development unit within the section. Your Assignment We are looking for someone with an interest in and knowledge of assessment and treatment of patients with general psychiatric diseases and neuropsychiatric conditions. As a department head, you are part of the section's management team and report to the assistant operations manager. Your assignment includes responsibility for finances, personnel, and quality, as well as responsibility for leading, monitoring, and developing operations. You provide staff with access to daily direct and indirect management and conduct employee and salary reviews with personnel. As a department head, you have delegated responsibility for finances and work environment. As a department head, you work closely with the assistant operations manager and medically responsible physician in managing operations. The operations work closely with municipalities and primary care in the area, and together we develop future community-based care. As a department head, you will be involved and important in this process. Your Qualifications You have a higher education/healthcare degree and experience in psychiatric care. We would like to see that you have previous management/leadership experience. You have the ability to inspire change and development and create participation and engagement in the workplace. You are clear in your leadership and, furthermore, both receptive and driven. You leverage your employees' diverse competencies and enjoy leading teams.
