We see great value in collaborating with other actors in society. Primary Care Area East is a base unit consisting of Ålidhems and Holmsund/Obbolas health centers. Ålidhems Health Center has its reception on Tvistevägen near Ålidhems Center and Iksu. Holmsund/Obbolas Health Center is centrally located in Holmsund approximately 1.5 miles outside Umeå. Ålidhems Health Center has approximately 22,700 registered residents in a diverse catchment area with a generally young population. The health center has approximately 97 employees and includes the family center at Ålidhems Center and paramedical reception at Tvistevägen 48 in Tietohusen. We are now seeking an experienced leader for one of Sweden's largest health centers. Here you will work together with two experienced management colleagues to run the health center. The position includes responsibility for the physician group and rehabilitation coordinator. We are looking for someone who is confident in your leadership, has good collaboration skills, and a drive for development. As a manager in Region Västerbotten, you have an important responsibility for both employees and residents in the county. You serve as a role model, work to create shared visions, and unleash initiative in your operations. You challenge, encourage, and make your employees visible. Within your authority, you take responsibility for your operations and represent the employer by leading and developing toward the region's decided goals. The position includes full responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget. As department head, you report directly to the operations manager who regularly aligns with and follows up on your assignment. In annual employee meetings, you discuss, among other things, your individual development plan. You are part of the base unit's management group, which means you are an important team player in strategic work. We drive and develop our base unit together in good dialogue with employees. Your employees will be district physicians, trainee physicians, a rehabilitation coordinator, and if needed, junior physicians in the reception unit. You will work closely with other department heads and together you are responsible for the operations' goals and mission. In the role, you will also work closely with an HR partner, controller, medical director physician, other support functions, and management colleagues. In addition to support from these partners, colleagues, and the operations manager, you will have administrative support from a chief assistant at the health center. We will adapt the introduction based on your needs and you will have opportunities for competency development in your leadership and management through the training and leadership programs that Region Västerbotten arranges. QUALIFICATIONS For the position of department head, you have relevant higher education or equivalent competence acquired through education and experience. It is meritorious if you have experience working as a manager including personnel and budget responsibility. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you are healthcare-educated and/or have experience in primary care or other healthcare. Since the role involves management of physicians, it is meritorious if you have experience with and understanding of physicians' work. You are expected to be confident in your leadership and have good collaboration skills. As a person, you are organized, strategic, and proactive. As a leader, you are responsive and diplomatic, you foster a positive working climate, and you are clear in your communication. To successfully manage this assignment, you should be a team player who enjoys both independent work and working with others.
