As recycling center staff, you help visitors sort correctly, contribute to order and safety on the premises, and work hands-on with various tasks related to waste management. The role suits you if you enjoy working with people, handling varied tasks, and working actively outdoors.
Job Description
As recycling center staff, you work with the daily operations at the recycling center and contribute to ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and with a service-oriented approach.
The role includes, among other things:
Receiving, sorting, and handling waste according to established procedures
Guiding and informing visitors about correct sorting
Helping to maintain order and safety on the premises
Performing basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks
Cleaning, clearing, and handling materials
Working in environments where vehicles, machinery, and visitors are present simultaneously
Following safety, work environment, and order regulations
Identifying and reporting risks, incidents, and deviations
The work is practical and can be physically demanding. Therefore, it's important that you enjoy active work and can maintain a service-oriented and professional demeanor even when the pace is high.
We Are Looking for Someone Who
Is at least 18 years old
Can speak, read, and understand Swedish
Is service-minded and enjoys meeting people
Has good physical capacity and enjoys practical work
Can follow instructions, safety procedures, and work environment requirements
Is responsible, punctual, and reliable
Has good teamwork skills
Can work in environments with vehicles, machinery, and moving people
Is flexible and can adapt to the facility's needs
Previous experience in recycling, waste management, warehousing, logistics, service, or other practical work is a merit. We also place great importance on your attitude, work ethic, and ability to meet visitors in a professional and respectful manner.
For certain assignments at the recycling center, specialized competence in handling hazardous materials and explosives may be required, such as ADR certification. Such requirements apply only where the work tasks necessitate this extended competence.
Other Information
This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Miljonbemanning and work at our client's facility in Uddevalla and the surrounding area.
Working hours vary depending on the facility's needs and may occur on both weekdays and weekends. At the recycling centers, working hours are typically between approximately 06.00–16.00 as well as some evening and weekend shifts depending on the workplace and season.
The work can be physically demanding and takes place in environments with vehicles, machinery, and ongoing operations. Before assignment start, mandatory new hire screening including alcohol and drug testing may be conducted.
