As a security guard at Avarn Security, you'll have an exciting day-to-day role where your mission is to strengthen our customers' sense of security and promote a safer environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring facilities, patrolling areas, and ensuring security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and need to remain calm and professional in both routine situations and during incidents. Work may include alarm responses, access control, reporting irregularities, and collaboration with police or other authorities. The role demands high standards of responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. As a security guard, you're an important part of creating a safe environment for people and businesses. You'll work on preventive security measures, inspections, and service. Qualifications In addition to the personal qualities we're looking for, you must meet the basic requirements to be qualified for the position: - Upper secondary school education - Good Swedish, spoken and written - Class B driver's license You must be at least 18 years old by your first day of employment. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, Chapter 8 and Appendix 2, which restrict minors' ability to perform tasks in security-related activities. You also need to be of good character*, drug-free, have sound financial management, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security. Security guard training is a merit for these positions. Other valuable qualifications include experience in the security industry, certain technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments. If you have the right profile for Avarn and advance in the process but don't already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we'll cover your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted by BYA Bevakningsbranschens Yrkes- och Arbetsmiljönämnd. Participation in this training is a prerequisite for employment.
