Work hours: Varying times depending on the facility, day and night shifts Work location: Kiruna Duration: Full-time, part-time, and permanent positions available (6-month probationary period applies) Start date: 2026-12-01 Job responsibilities: The work involves preventing and managing security risks, controlling access, and ensuring unauthorized persons don't gain access to protected areas. You'll be responsible for conducting person and vehicle checks, monitoring facilities, and patrolling to detect and prevent threats. More information will be provided at the interview. This includes both armed and unarmed positions. Qualifications: We're looking for someone with personal maturity who feels confident in the role of security guard. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should have a high level of security awareness and social competence. We place great importance on your ability to work as part of a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. For certain positions, a security vetting, in-depth background check, and security interview will be conducted. Requirements for applicants: Beyond the personal qualities we seek and describe in various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for this position: High school competency Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Class B driver's license Civilian security guard training (or military security guard training**, completed from 2016 onwards) Meritorious qualifications include: Guard training (VU1 + VU2) Weapons training We place great importance on your personal maturity when assessing suitability for the position. To be eligible for this position, you must be at least 18 years old by your employment start date. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, Chapter 8 and Appendix 2, which limits minors' ability to perform work tasks in surveillance and security-related activities. This position is classified as security-sensitive and is subject to security vetting under Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). For certain security classifications, Swedish citizenship is required under security protection legislation. Additionally, you must be of good conduct*, drug-free, have sound finances, and be in good health and physical condition to be hired by Avarn Security.
