As a security officer, you will help protect critical societal functions. You will function as a link between operational staff and management, ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers. In your role as a security officer, you will work to prevent and manage security risks at protected sites. Work hours: Varying times depending on site, day and night shifts Work location: Kiruna Duration: Full-time, part-time, and permanent positions as needed (6-month probation period applies) Start date: 2026-12-01 Job responsibilities: The work involves preventing and managing security risks, controlling access, and ensuring that unauthorized persons do not gain access to protected areas. You are responsible for conducting person and vehicle checks, monitoring facilities, and patrolling to detect and prevent threats. More information will be provided at the interview. This applies to both armed and unarmed positions. Qualifications: We are looking for someone with personal maturity who feels confident in the role of security officer. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should possess a high security mindset and social competence. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. For work at certain sites, a security vetting, enhanced background check, and security interview will be conducted. Requirements: Beyond the personal qualities we seek and describe in various assignments, you must meet basic requirements to be qualified for the position: High school diploma or equivalent Good Swedish, spoken and written Class B driver's license Civil security officer training (or military security officer training**, completed from 2016 or later) Meritorious qualifications: Guard training (VU1 + VU2) Weapons training We place great importance on your personal maturity when assessing suitability for the position. To be eligible for the position, you must have reached 18 years of age by the employment date at the latest. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, chapter 8 and appendix 2, which limit minors' ability to perform tasks within surveillance and security-related activities. The position is classified as security-sensitive and is subject to security vetting under chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). For positions in certain security classes, Swedish citizenship is required under security protection legislation. In addition, you must have no criminal record*, be drug-free, have your finances in order, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security.
