Automation Technician

Your Tasks
As an automation technician with us, no two days are the same. You work both independently and together with colleagues and will have a broad and varied area of responsibility. Your main tasks consist of repairs and preventive maintenance of our process control equipment and electrical installations. You will also work with operation and maintenance of electric motors, integrated process control systems, as well as traditional electrical and instrument circuits.
The position also involves a certain responsibility for planning and organizing assigned work, which requires you to be structured and responsible. In your daily work, you have close contact with your work supervisor for prioritization and planning of tasks. Our Expectations
You have vocational technical education in electrical or automation work and preferably work experience in electrical, automation, or instrument technology.
To thrive and succeed in the role of automation technician, we see that you are goal-oriented, service-minded, and responsible. You are also curious about technology and have an innovative approach to improvement work.
The work involves many contact points, primarily internal but also with external partners. Therefore, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together with others.
The position may involve shift work or on-call duty.
About Fiskeby
During 2023, Fiskeby was acquired by RDM Group. Together with seven other mills, we are Europe's largest producer of recovered cardboard. We have manufactured paper and cardboard since 1637 and Fiskeby is the only mill in Scandinavia that can receive coated cardboard packaging as raw material. Our products are made from 100 percent recycled fiber, in line with today's requirements for a sustainable society. Every year we produce approximately 160,000 tons of cardboard and have around 275 employees. At our facility, all departments are located together, which creates excellent conditions for close collaboration and short communication channels.
We are constantly working to improve and increase efficiency in our manufacturing process and reduce our environmental impact. The Maintenance Department's main focus is to ensure the highest possible availability of Fiskeby's technical equipment.
