About the Role of Project Manager in Building Automation As a project manager, you will be a key contact for our customers and work on creating smart, energy-efficient and sustainable buildings. You are responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing control and monitoring systems that ensure operational reliability, comfort and reduced energy consumption. Your Responsibilities A project manager in building automation is responsible for planning, leading and following up on automation projects. The role involves ensuring that technical solutions are installed and function according to requirements, while keeping the project on schedule, within budget and meeting quality objectives. The responsibilities include coordinating and serving as a central point of contact throughout the entire project lifecycle. The project manager is responsible for design, procurement, scheduling and resource allocation. This also includes following up on installations, system startup and verifying that systems function as intended. The role further involves working with documentation, risk management and quality assurance, as well as ensuring that the project complies with applicable laws, standards and customer requirements. The role often requires technical interest and understanding of modern automation systems and digital solutions in buildings. The project manager needs to have good communication skills, be organized and solution-oriented, and be able to manage multiple projects in parallel. The role suits people who thrive with responsibility, collaboration and driving projects from start to finish. The role includes, among other things: • Design and construction • Material procurement • Project economics (budget, forecast, ÄTA) • Contact with subcontractors for installation and control cabinets • Schedule and resource planning in projects • Lead or participate in coordinated functional tests and inspections • Customer contact • Sales We believe you: • Have a genuine interest in building automation and technology • Enjoy working in a team, but also have the ability to plan and act independently • Are a team player who contributes to both colleagues and customers • Value order and organization, take responsibility and have strong communication skills • See service as a natural part of your work • Have at least three years of experience in building automation Perhaps you have worked as an automation engineer and feel it is time to take the next step in your career as a project manager with us.
