About the Position
Professionals Nord is recruiting, in collaboration with Assemblin, an Automation Engineer for the operations in Nyköping. Here you'll become part of a team that develops and delivers automation solutions to Assemblin's customers.
As an Automation Engineer you work with PLCs and control systems through different project phases. The role combines technical work with practical problem solving and close collaboration with customers, project managers, and other technical expertise. You'll have the opportunity to take significant responsibility and influence technical solutions based on the project's and customer's needs.

Responsibilities
Programming of PLCs, control systems, and other automation solutions
Design and development of technical solutions
Commissioning and functional testing of automation systems
Troubleshooting, optimization, and technical support
Working with HMI, SCADA, and communication between different systems
Technical reviews and dialogue with customers and clients
Collaboration with project managers, suppliers, and colleagues through different project phases
Planning your own technical contribution based on the project schedule and goals
What We're Looking For
You have at least two years of experience in automation and are comfortable independently working with programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automation systems. For example, you may have worked as an automation engineer, PLC programmer, control and regulation engineer, or in a similar technical role. We'd like to see that you have:
Relevant education in automation, electrical engineering, control and regulation technology, or equivalent work experience
Experience with PLC programming and control systems
Experience with troubleshooting and commissioning
Experience with an established automation system, for example Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Mitsubishi, or Saia
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
Driver's license (category B)
It's a plus if you have experience with SCADA, HMI, RTU, communication protocols, electrical design, or machine safety.
Above all, we believe you're a technically curious and solution-oriented person who enjoys understanding how things work and finding solutions when they don't. You're comfortable taking responsibility for your own work but also appreciate solving technical challenges together with colleagues and customers.
