About the Role
As an automation engineer at Gila, you will work broadly across projects and be involved from technical design and programming through commissioning and optimization of completed systems.
You will work with control and monitoring solutions for buildings and combine programming with practical problem-solving in the field. The role also involves close contact with clients, contractors, and colleagues, giving you a good overview of both the technology and the different aspects of the project. In the role, you will, among other things:
Program PLC and DDC systems
Develop functional descriptions, I/O lists, and technical documentation
Integrate systems for ventilation, heating, and cooling
Work with control strategies and system communication
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Optimize operations and energy performance
Engage in technical dialogue with customers, clients, and contractors
About You
We believe you have experience in building automation, control and regulation technology, or a related technical field and have a good understanding of how different technical systems in a building interact.
You are comfortable taking responsibility for your parts of the project and appreciate the combination of programming, technical problem-solving, and customer contact. At the same time, you are communicative and able to explain technical solutions clearly. We would like to see that you have:
Experience in building automation or control and regulation technology
Experience with PLC programming
Good understanding of technical systems within ventilation, heating, and cooling
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
Driver's license category B
Experience with Siemens is a plus.
