About the Role As an Automation Engineer at AFRY, you will be an important part of a team with high technical competence and a strong focus on collaboration. You will work on projects spanning the entire lifecycle, from feasibility studies and concept development to implementation, commissioning, and long-term management. Assignments vary from modernization and migration of existing facilities to development and commissioning of completely new systems and production plants. You will have the opportunity to work closely with customers and contribute specialized expertise in complex technical environments where automation plays a crucial role in operational development. Example Tasks Programming and configuration in ABB 800xA Upgrades and migrations from older ABB systems to modern platforms System design and technical solutions in process automation Feasibility studies, engineering, and technical investigations FAT, SAT, and commissioning Troubleshooting, optimization, and further development of existing systems Technical advice and support to the customer's operations and maintenance organization Qualifications To succeed in the role, we see that you have/can: Several years of experience as an automation engineer, systems engineer, or equivalent, and are accustomed to working in complex process environments. Solve technically complex challenges, like to take responsibility independently, and appreciate collaboration with both customers and colleagues. Good experience with ABB 800xA Experience with older ABB systems such as Advant AC450 Experience from the process industry, energy, chemical, or forest industry Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written B driver's license Additional Information At AFRY you will become part of one of Sweden's strongest automation networks.
