About the Position
Start Your Medical Career in Mora
Physician Internship (AT) in Mora provides a comprehensive and developmentally rich start to your medical career, with excellent opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. Here you have the opportunity for an active outdoor and sports life in both summer and winter. If you're interested in music and culture, you're not far from Dalhalla or Zornmuseet.
At the emergency department, you'll quickly work independently with close support from experienced colleagues and on-call supervision, which provides excellent opportunities for rapid development and valuable clinical experience. The smaller hospital environment creates favorable conditions for supervision, learning, and close collaboration between specialties.
Mora Hospital is one of Dalarna's two acute hospitals and offers a broad clinical operation within both medical and surgical specialties. With a catchment area of approximately 80,000 residents, which doubles during tourist seasons in both winter and summer, you as an AT physician will encounter a varied patient population and a wide range of medical conditions.
Job Responsibilities
It's now time to apply for AT with start dates in early February or early May 2027.
Our Structure:
6 months internal medicine specialties
6 months surgical specialties
3 months psychiatry in the shared inpatient clinic in Falun and Säter plus outpatient care in Mora
6 months general medicine at one of the area's 9 health centers
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with high social competence and good judgment. You're easy to collaborate with while having strong leadership ability. You're mature, motivated, and have good self-awareness. You possess the knowledge, skills, and approach required to successfully perform work as an AT physician.
We're seeking our future specialists and would appreciate your interest in longer-term collaboration and a willingness to help develop our services together with us in Southern Dalarna.
You have strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Formal Qualifications:
You must have a Swedish medical degree at the start of your internship and be able to provide the corresponding diploma or the National Board of Health and Welfare's decision on internship.
