Welcome to the Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Habilitation department! Our mission is to offer all residents of Kronoberg County specialized psychiatric care, rehabilitation, and habilitation. Care shall be provided in collaboration with other stakeholders within and outside Region Kronoberg, with a coordinated care chain and patient involvement in focus. The Rehabilitation Clinic is a specialist facility for people over 18 years old in need of rehabilitation following somatic illness or injury. With a focus on quality of life and a holistic approach, we offer individually adapted services. The most common diagnostic groups in the Neurology Unit are stroke, brain injury, multitrauma, or limb amputation. Our strength is that we work in multidisciplinary teams, where you and the patient participate in the team together with physicians, psychologists, speech therapists, physical therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and nursing staff. JOB DUTIES As an occupational therapist at the rehabilitation clinic, you will work with: • mapping and assessing the patient's previous and current activity performance in the areas of personal care, housing, work, and leisure • relearning or teaching a new way of performing tasks and activities • compensating for reduced activity capacity • modifying daily activities based on the patient's current situation Training is conducted at the clinic, often in one of our excellent training environments, including our garden, kitchen, computer room, or carpentry workshop. It can also take place in the patient's home environment and in the community. We are also in an exciting development phase where we recently launched a pilot project within SPRIH (specialized rehabilitation at home). Through SPRIH, patients have the opportunity to receive qualified rehabilitation services in their home environment, which creates good conditions for training and recovery in everyday life. Work is conducted in an engaged multidisciplinary team where different competencies collaborate to provide the patient with the best possible rehabilitation. Even though SPRIH has a dedicated team, there may sometimes be a need to support the activity, which means that travel may occur during work. Therefore, a Class B driver's license is required. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and who have an interest in rehabilitation. You are a responsible person who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary setting where collaboration, knowledge exchange, and shared learning are natural parts of everyday work. With your attentiveness to individuals' needs and circumstances, you have a strong ability to motivate, support, and contribute to increased independence and quality of life for those you meet. You work in a structured and solution-focused manner and actively contribute ideas and initiatives to development work.
