This fall, Sanandum is looking for more occupational therapists who are willing to work on assignments in locations other than their hometown. We have assignments in several places throughout Sweden, with particularly good opportunities in Norrland and in smaller towns where the need for experienced healthcare personnel is often significant.
For those who enjoy variety, consultant work can be a really good option. You'll have the opportunity to discover new parts of Sweden, meet new workplaces and people, and at the same time have greater control over when, where, and how much you work.
What can an assignment involve?
As an occupational therapist through Sanandum, you can work in, for example:
municipality health and medical care
home healthcare
specialized housing and elder care
rehabilitation
short-term services
assistive device prescription and housing adaptation
Common tasks include assessing activity and functional capacity, testing and prescribing assistive devices, rehabilitation interventions, ADL assessments, coaching care staff, and collaboration with physiotherapists, nurses, and other professionals.
Assignments vary in content and length. Some people want to work a few weeks, others a few months or recurring periods throughout the year.

Who are we looking for?
You are a licensed occupational therapist and feel confident in your professional role.
Previous experience from, for example, municipal services, elder care, home healthcare, or rehabilitation is a merit. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is self-reliant, flexible, and finds it exciting rather than daunting to start at a new workplace and quickly get up to speed with the organization.
You don't need to want to travel year-round.
Maybe you just want to try an assignment this fall. Maybe a few months per year. Or perhaps you discover that consultant work suits you better than you thought.
