Hospital Rehabilitation is tasked with contributing to better acute care and rehabilitation for patients in Kronoberg County. We are approximately 100 employees working together to meet patients' needs for assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and disease prevention interventions. With us, you'll meet an engaged and competent team consisting of occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, social workers, a psychologist, a sexologist, a rehabilitation coordinator, rehabilitation assistants, and administrative staff. At the hospital in Växjö, we are a team of approximately 14 occupational therapists. We have daily check-ins to prioritize and support one another. WORK DUTIES As an occupational therapist with us, you will work in both inpatient and outpatient care. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple patient groups in different clinics, which provides varied and developmental work. In inpatient care, work is largely done in collaboration with colleagues, while outpatient care involves more independent work. You will be an important part of the team around the patient and in the rehabilitation process. Patient visits in outpatient care are conducted both in-person and digitally. Work duties included in the role are: ADL assessment Cognitive assessment Hand function assessment Identify rehabilitation needs and initiate training Assessment of assistive device needs and contact with the municipality to work together for a safe discharge home Provide information and strategies for activity balance and energy conservation Collaboration with professionals within hospital rehabilitation as well as with healthcare personnel at clinics and wards.
