About Us
The Rehabilitation Clinic operates at both locations of Blekinge Hospital. The clinic is responsible for hospital rehabilitation in both inpatient care and specialized outpatient care and team rehabilitation.
The Occupational Therapy Department at Blekinge Hospital in Karlskrona meets the need for occupational therapists across the hospital's departments, such as pediatrics, neurology, geriatrics, orthopedics, and medicine. In addition, we provide specialized outpatient care in, among others, pain, neuro, cancer, rheumatology, pediatric, and hand rehabilitation.
The Occupational Therapy team consists of 16 employees distributed among occupational therapists and rehabilitation assistants. Our work group has a positive climate, cares for one another, and continuously shares knowledge and experience through daily contact and in-house training.

About the Job
The Occupational Therapy department in Karlskrona has a broad range of activities with great opportunities. This position involves work primarily in inpatient care, with the possibility of combining it with outpatient care over time. Areas that could be relevant for this position include orthopedics, geriatrics, hand therapy, and stroke. Work tasks include assessment of functional ability and cognition, fitting and prescription of assistive devices, as well as treatment and training. In outpatient care, we work to some extent with group activities.
Working in a team is an important part of our daily routine, in both inpatient and outpatient care. Work is often performed in collaboration with other professionals, particularly with physical therapists.

About You
You are a licensed occupational therapist. To thrive with us, it is important that you are independent, engaged, and positive toward development. Great consideration is also given to good collaboration skills and personal suitability. Region Blekinge conducts military placement of all permanent employees.
Some of our positions are classified as security positions where the employee must undergo a security vetting interview and registry check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
