At Bräcke children and youth residential facility Östergården, ten children and young people with various disabilities and needs reside. Here we have our own rehabilitation team that works closely with the children and the staff members who are around them every day. We are now seeking an occupational therapist on a full-time basis, with Östergården as your base. 25% of the position is also located at two other facilities in Bräcke Park on Hisingen. This gives you a broad assignment, with great freedom to use your expertise where it is needed and to be part of several different contexts within Bräcke diakoni. Your role in the team As an occupational therapist at Bräcke diakoni in Göteborg, you will work primarily with the children at Östergården. Here, small changes can make a big difference and the work sometimes needs to develop over time. Interventions are tailored to the children's needs and may involve assistive devices, specialized adaptations, and positioning. You plan and follow up on the work yourself and have considerable scope to influence how it is organized. At the same time, you work closely with the residential staff, where supervision and your occupational therapy perspective are important parts of making the interventions work in daily life. Residential staff and educational support specialists know them well, while the rehabilitation team contributes with a physiotherapist, speech-language pathologist, psychologist, physician, nurse, and dietitian. Together, we have good opportunities to follow the children over time and find solutions that work in their everyday lives. In addition to the close team at Östergården, you will also be part of a larger context within Bräcke diakoni. The facilities you work in are located together in Bräcke Park on Hisingen, and there are opportunities for collegial networks and experience exchange within the organization.
