Job Description We are now seeking an occupational health and safety engineer for an assignment in Jönköping. In this role, you will drive the workplace health and safety initiatives in the organization and maintain a safe workplace for all employees. You are responsible for ensuring that occupational health and safety standards are followed in the operations and will also create new procedures and work processes moving forward. In this role, you will: Drive and develop occupational health and safety initiatives Maintain a strong and sustainable safety culture Conduct risk assessments, analyses, and investigations Translate results into concrete improvement measures Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and risk observations to ensure preventive work Train and guide managers and employees on occupational health and safety matters Ensure that the organization complies with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines within the occupational health and safety field Qualifications: Education as a Safety Engineer or higher education/university degree in engineering and/or occupational health and safety Minimum five years of experience in occupational health and safety work Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and systematic occupational health and safety work Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and improvement work Ability to drive change initiatives Strong administrative skills with experience in various administrative tools and systems Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Additional qualifications that would be beneficial for the position include specialist training in occupational health and safety and ISO 45001 certification We are looking for someone with high drive and a strong ability to take own initiative. Through analytical ability and a sense of structure, you will be well-positioned to succeed in this role. It is very important to have good communication skills and to be comfortable with and enjoy giving presentations, training, and influencing others in the organization to work toward established occupational health and safety goals, as well as being proactive in change and development work.
