The Employment Market Unit is part of the Social and Employment Administration and the Work & Livelihood Operations area. The Work & Livelihood Operations area handles labor market issues and financial assistance, with the goal of helping people outside the job market achieve financial independence. Within the Employment Market Unit, we have a Job Center as well as practical operations such as a service team, leisure bank, and an internal laundry.
The Administration is responsible for individual & family care, livelihood support, employment market initiatives, and municipal adult education. Our activities are based on a user perspective through collaboration and a holistic approach.

WORK DUTIES
As an Employment Market Consultant, you will have a varied and developmental role where you can guide and supervise participants in our practical operations, as well as coach and motivate participants at the Job Center. Your main task is to support individuals in moving toward financial independence through work, studies, or other activities.
Work within our practical operations involves guiding and motivating participants, where your practical skills combined with your problem-solving ability will be central. The goal is for people you meet to develop and be equipped to establish themselves in the regular job market.
Work within our Job Center involves coaching and inspiring participants with a clear education or job focus, that is, working toward participants getting closer to the job market and financial independence with the help of an active action plan that includes implementation of various group activities and initiatives based on the participant's needs.
As part of daily work, you collaborate with various actors, for example other administrations within the municipality, the Employment Agency, the Social Insurance Agency, or other actors. An important part of your work involves building and maintaining relationships with participants and other actors—all to create the best possible conditions for the participant's path forward.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements
We are looking for you with a relevant university or college degree in behavioral science, social science, or other similar education that the employer deems equivalent, or alternatively corresponding knowledge acquired through work experience that the employer deems relevant.
We are looking for you who have good knowledge and experience of the labor market and what conditions apply in working life for at least 1 year.
You are communicative and have a good understanding that every individual is unique with their strengths, circumstances, and background, and you have previously worked with supportive and coaching work.
You can plan, document, and follow up initiatives in an efficient manner. Since the work involves administration and documentation, you need to have good computer skills, as well as the ability to express yourself in writing.
In the position, driving may occur, which is why a category B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.
It is meritorious if you have:
• Worked within a municipal employment market unit, the Employment Agency, or similar operations
• Worked in a coaching and supportive capacity with people far from the job market
• Training in solution-focused working methods with experience in guidance and motivation work
• Experience in holding and coordinating groups and experience working with people from different cultural backgrounds
• Experience in work management
