About the role
As a shift supervisor, you are responsible for creating structure and momentum in daily warehouse operations. You plan work based on current volumes and staffing, allocate resources, and ensure the team knows what needs to be done and what priorities apply.
A large part of the role involves being close to operations and your employees. You follow up on work throughout the day, identify obstacles and deviations, and ensure that the right measures are taken when something doesn't go according to plan. At the same time, you actively work with productivity, quality, and safety and contribute to developing working methods that create efficient and well-functioning operations.
As a shift supervisor, you become a natural point of contact for the team. You onboard and support employees, create clarity around expectations, and contribute to a work environment where people know what is expected and can perform together.
Your main responsibilities:
Plan, prioritize, and allocate daily work within warehouse operations
Ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation based on volumes and current needs
Follow up on deliveries, productivity, and quality and take action on deviations
Provide operational support to employees and create clarity in daily work
Onboard and train employees in routines, processes, and working methods
Follow up on issues and deviations in production, quality, safety, and work environment
Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to developing the operation's processes
Ensure that established routines and safety regulations are followed
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with experience in warehousing and logistics who has previously been responsible for leading others in operations. You may have worked as a shift supervisor or team leader, or held a role where you were responsible for things like work allocation, prioritization, and team follow-up.
You're accustomed to a work environment where conditions can change quickly and have the ability to maintain structure even when the pace increases. As a person, you are clear and communicative and feel comfortable making decisions and prioritizing when the situation requires it. At the same time, you are present in your leadership and enjoy supporting and developing people in daily work.
A forklift certification and previous experience with forklift operation are merits.
